Empress Plum

A lovely shape and a lovely color, the Empress Plum is quite the stunning fruit. It is slightly oval in shape and bears a deep violet color that is covered with a slightly matte finish on its skin. The flesh is a strongly contrasting yellow color. It is most often used in fermentation due to high sugar content and is a common ingredient in brandy. The fruits itself is also used in baking and eating.
