Geneva Crabapple

The theme across this crabapple might be the darker color of its features. Dark leaves cover dark fruit which covers dark flesh. These richly crimson crabapples color jellies and tarts better than other light colored fruit due to their red flesh. The fruit is used for cider and preserves and is highly acidic but not too sweet. When blended with other cider apples, the Geneva Crab enhances the cider for a more balanced flavor.
