Regal Petticoat Maple

Like most maples, their shinning characteristic is their leaves. This maple tree is not exception. A glossy green leaf that faces the sun covers a purple underside that faces the ground. Most pronounced in the Spring and Summer, these leaves turn a yellow bronze color in the fall. This tree reaches heights of 40' or so and is a great compromise between beauty and size. Outside of the Crimson King line, this tree is one of the few to have purple in its leaves- and you can see them from under the tree on the ground.
