Royal Red Maple
Slightly smaller and redder than the Crimson King Maple, the Royal Red Maple Tree shines with a lighter red color than the deeper Crimson King and Sentry Maples. Growing to heights of 40-50', this maple is no slouch when it comes to magnificence, hence its name. Tolerant of poor soil, heat, rain, and even pollution, this tree is great in an urban environment. This is the hardest of the purple leafed Maple trees and is hardy down to zone 4. It has a lovely oval shape.
