River Birch 'Select'

Native to almost the entire US east of the Mississippi River, the River Birch is common near streams and rivers where it serves as a staple in local environments. It's famous shaggy bark and vertical stature makes for an impressive, if somewhat flaky, tree. River Birches reach heights of 50-70' with growth rates nearing 24" annually.
