Raspberries
These soft clusters of smaller berries are common amongst the forests of the Eastern US. The Raspberry is about 1" long and about 2" around and is quite delicate thus making transporting them rather risky. Therefore, it is better to have raspberry plants nearby. They are picked when their color is the deepest, depending on the variety this could be purple, red, yellow, or even black. Some raspberries fruit on second year shoots. Raspberries can be invasive and are prolific growers so annual or biennial pruning is a must.
