The Heritage raspberry is a well‑known everbearing red raspberry that grows into an upright, vigorous shrub typically reaching about 4–6 feet tall with a similar spread, making it a handsome and productive addition to berry beds or edible landscapes. Its canes produce medium‑to‑large, dark red berries with a classic sweet and juicy flavor that’s highly prized for fresh eating, as well as for freezing, canning, jams, and desserts.

Heritage has a long harvest season, often yielding a moderate crop in midsummer and a heavier crop from late summer into early fall.  This variety is generally self‑ pollinating, so it doesn’t require another raspberry nearby to set fruit, though pollinators like bees can help improve yields.  It is cold‑hardy across a wide range of climates and performs well in USDA zones roughly 3–8, making it a reliable choice for many gardens.

Heritage raspberries also show good disease resistance to common issues like powdery mildew and other leaf diseases when grown with proper care, though good air circulation and well‑drained soil help maintain plant health. The plant’s dark green foliage and white spring blossoms also add seasonal interest and attract pollinators. Because its berries hold well on the vine and resist softening too quickly, they’re excellent for market sales or u‑pick gardens as well as home use. Heritage’s balanced sweetness and reliable cropping make it a favorite for gardeners looking to enjoy fresh raspberries from summer through fall. Raspberry plants are sold in packs of three (3).
