Introduced in the early 1950s and is a very vigorous tree. Cross of Merton 793 [Northern Spy and M2 {Doucini}] and Northern Spy. Very popular rootstocks in the 70s and 80s producing long lived, long producing, and large growing trees. Resistant to wolly aphid and quite tolerant to fire blight and crown/root rot. Upright growth pattern. This is our most popular rootstock.
Rootstocks are about 18" long and are ¼" in caliper. Sold in packs of 5, 10 and 25.
