Fortune Apple

Fortune is a hybrid from Cornell University developed by combining the Schoharie Spy with the disease-resistant Empire. The result was a high-performing variety with spicy old-world flavor over a tart base. The tree is a biannual producer and is more suited to home gardeners than commercial orchards. The fruit is green and red with firm yet juicy, creamy white flesh. It is noted for its resistance to Apple Cedar Rust.
