Hosui Asian Pear
Hosui pears are consistent taste-test winners. The golden russeted skin has juicy, sweet, very flavorful flesh. Hosui is a best seller in Japan. This crisp and refreshing apple-like pear ripens early through late August but stores well through November. Growing to about the size of a golf ball (maybe slightly larger) the orb shaped fruit is russeted and golden brown. It is extremely juicy and stores well. This is Harrison's favorite pear.
