Mutsu Apple
Also known as a Crispin Apple, the Mutsu apple is a cross between the Golden Delicious and Indo apples and originates from the Aomori Prefecture in Japan. However, it is named for the Mutsu Province. This apple first became commercially available in 1949 and is one of the more popular apples to come from Japan.
The Mustu apple is medium to large in size, green with slight yellow blushing. Its non-uniform size and shape gives this apple some interest combined with some slight russeting at its poles. The flesh is greenish-white and is aromatic, sweet, sharp, and very juicy. This apple cooks well and retains its shape under heat. The apple can store for 3 months under ideal conditions and is excellent right off the tree. Ships Spring 2023
