Originating at the New Jersey Experimental Station in 1988~ This is a highbush blueberry cultivar with plants reaching 5–6 feet in height at maturity. Fruit ripens around July 25. Yields are consistently high in recommended climates, averaging 12–15 pounds per plant.
The berries are large, averaging about 60 berries per cup or approximately 1.99 grams per berry. Fruit quality is very good, with firm berries, small picking scars, and a dark blue color.
Harvesting may be done by hand or mechanically. The fruit is borne in loose clusters, allowing ripe berries to detach easily from the stems. Among blueberry cultivars that ripen around July 25, this cultivar is considered one of the most outstanding for the fresh market.
