Summercrisp pear has a firm, crisp, texture with a sweet mild flavor that is slightly tart. They are recommended for fresh eating only. The cold hardy, heavy-yielding trees, need a partner for pollination and are disease resistant UMN introduction. Pollinated by other European pears, the Summercrisp is an easy growing, disease resistant addition to home orchards.
