Somerset Seedless Grape Vine

Somerset Seedless is an early-ripening, cold-hardy grape capable of withstanding winter temperatures near -30°F. Vines have a trailing growth habit with moderate vigor and are relatively easy to manage. The variety produces small to medium, well-filled clusters of pinkish-red berries that deepen to a full red as they ripen on the vine.

Berries are medium in size with a semi-adherent skin and a crisp, pleasant texture. Flavor is notably sweet with a distinctive strawberry-like character, making Somerset Seedless an excellent choice for fresh eating. Fruit quality improves significantly when allowed to fully color before harvest. The variety is also suitable for jelly production.

Somerset Seedless is considered one of the earliest maturing and most winter-hardy seedless grapes available, typically ripening in August. Clusters range from compact to slightly loose and may show ruddy reddish-golden tones at full maturity. While vines are not excessively vigorous, they are generally reliable and perform well across a range of growing conditions.
