Persimmon Tree 'Deer Magnet'

Less cold hardy than the standard American Persimmon- this tree however does well in the forests of Zone 6-9. Fruit tends to be smaller than the standard American Seedling Persimmon but is far more numerous. Generally too small for common human consumption, this fruit is perfect for wildlife. It fruits later than most other trees- late October to early November- and needs to touch of frost to fully ripen. Tree is persistent but not entirely through the winter. Fruit is ripest immediately after first frost. Tree is a grafted female. Fruit is similar shaped but smaller than the persimmon in the image. Trees ship Spring 2026.
