The Fall Gold raspberry is an attractive everbearing raspberry variety that typically grows upright to about 4–6 feet tall with a 3–4 foot spread, forming vigorous canes that produce abundant fruit. Fall Gold thrives in full sun and well‑drained soil and is hardy across a broad range of climates (commonly Zones 3–9), making it a versatile choice for edible landscapes or berry patches.
It’s known for its striking golden‑yellow berries with a soft honey‑like sweetness and lower acidity than most red raspberries, making them delicious for fresh eating, desserts, jams, jellies, and freezing. Because it’s an everbearing primocane type, Fall Gold can yield fruit twice in a season, providing a lighter summer crop and a larger, longer fall harvest. The plant is self‑fertile, so it doesn’t require another raspberry nearby to set fruit, though pollinators can still help improve yields. It is recommended to plant another variety nearby.
Fall Gold raspberries have good disease resistance, performing well in a range of conditions and showing tolerance to common raspberry problems, which makes them suitable for both beginning and experienced gardeners. Its foliage is dark green throughout the growing season, and in many climates the canes remain robust with regular pruning and maintenance.
The sweet golden berries also add visual interest compared with traditional red types and are excellent in fruit salads or as a colorful garnish. With its combination of unique color, sweet flavor, extended harvest, and reliable performance, Fall Gold is a rewarding raspberry for home gardens and small farms alike. Bare root plants are younger than the container plants. Raspberry plants are sold in packs of three (3).
