Moorpark Apricot
One of a few apricots that are hardy to Zone 4, the Moorpark is known for is color and flavor. A lovely beige-y yellow with a gentle slope forming that characteristic cleft, this apricot is quite a site. Its flowers are a blushed white and numerous across the tree. These apricots are self fertile but will produce better with a pollinator. This very sweet apricot is used in baking, canning, and eating off the tree. Do allow to ripen from Mid-July through early August as fruit does not ripen all at once.
