First developed in the 1950s as a decorative high shrub or small tree, the Ann variety of Magnolia reaches heights of 15' and a similar spread. Its main feature, along with its size, is its vibrant fuchsia flowers dot the tree in early Spring. More of an ornamental tree rather than shade tree, this Magnolia works well in partial shade. In summer, it produces elongated glossy forest green colored leaves. It is cold hardy.
