The Lucy™ Apple is a cross between a Honeycrisp and Airlie Red Flesh apples to produce a delicious, red fleshed apple. Bill Howell created this apple in the mid 2000s in Washington State and introduced this apple to market in 2018. Red skin with equally red flesh tastes similar to berries. The apple stores well for about three months with limited longer term storage testing done. Due to limited availability about this apple, the information provided here reflects West Coast (specifically Washington State) traits. The Glo version has paler yellow skin than the Rose variety.
